who knew presents: The Pitch

Would you love to know what music companies are looking for in new artists? What would you give to have the inside track when it comes to pitching a song?

WHO KNEW Nashville presents The Pitch at City Winery on Thursday, July 20. Come witness eight different bands play for, and pitch to seven different A&R executives. You’ll see what advice they give and, if we’re lucky, we see how a publishing or label deal starts to come together.

On hand will be:
Steve Robertson, Senior VP of A&R - Atlantic Records
John Marks, Global Editor for Country Music - Spotify
Abbey Adams, Senior Creative Director, A&R - Sony ATV Music Publishing
David Macias, Co-founder and President - Thirty Tigers
Tracy Gershon, A&R and artist development consultant; Red Light Management
Kevin Williamson, Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records
Laurel Kittleson, A&R Director - Big Machine Label Group

WHO KNEW offers some of the best networking opportunities in Nashville, so don't miss your chance to meet these industry leaders and the rest of the 400+ attendees.

An extension of MusicRowSearch, WHO KNEW Nashville is a bi-monthly event designed to provide unique perspectives from many of the music industry’s most accomplished executives and brightest minds. Think "Shark Tank" + TED Talks + speed dating. It’s the next generation of Meet Up. The event serves as a fertile hunting ground for talent, trends and who’s making it happen. Everyone who attends gets a birds’ eye view of who’s new and who’s next.

“WHO KNEW Nashville is an event series inspired by my mission to connect people. Nashville is one and half degrees of separation. I kept meeting and seeing the incredible wealth of knowledge, experience and talent and thought 'How do I get all of these people in one room?'

That’s how WHO KNEW started. Beginning in 2015, our sold out events feature the most innovative minds, anarchists, entrepreneurs and trend setters in the music industry. Each event highlights a topic that’s real and right now.  Real conversations. Real connections.”
